Norway's HAT To Release 'Vortex Of Death' This Month

January 10, 2011

The two-man black metal outfit known as HAT (Norwegian for "hatred") will release its second full-length album, "Vortex Of Death", on January 24 via Abyss Records. The follow-up to 2009's "The Demise Of Mankind" promises to deliver the same razor-sharp aural nihilism as its predecessor, according to a press release.

"Vortex Of Death" track listing:

01. Inhumanus Revelation
02. Invocating Death
03. The Flesh I Wear
04. The Path To Immortality
05. Overmenneske
06. Ultimate Evil
07. Slaves of Insanity
08. Tilintetgjørelsen

HAT was formed by Nevresch and Undertrykker in 1993 under the name RAVNER. The band were inactive from 1996 to 2006 and reunited five years ago under their new hateful moniker — playing "misanthropic black metal." After releasing the demo "Livet Ebber Ut" in 2008 and "The Demise Of Mankind" in 2009, HAT began work on the material for "Vortex Of Death".
